Day – 15 West Yellowstone to West Thumb
July 1, 2009
COLD! Everyone had their cold weather gear on this morning and were still freezing. Some guys did not bring full fingered gloves and were miserable all morning. The good news was that we entered the park and immediately saw wildlife. Some pace lines saw buffalo ride next to the road, herds of deer prancing through the forests, and even falcons grabbing fish out of the rivers. I guess that is the benefit of waking up at the crack of dawn. The ride went over the continental divide a couple of times and we took some pics at the tops. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive at a lodge and resort for the night after a long day of riding and everyone was ready for a real bed. Dinner was provided by these incredible people at the Village Tavern who took us to their downstairs employee dining area and had a spaghetti feast. We all slept great.
